The Olsen twins are nothing new to the Celebrity World, having been around for 26 years! BUT, they do bring something special to the style world, with their ever-changing chic yet laid back approach to clothing and accessories. Love them!

Enticing Entryways

This week in home it’s all about enticing entryways! The entryway sets the tone for

your entire home’s design aesthetic. I love the muted, warm tones of the pieces in the

collection below. Mixing gray, beige and brown pieces create a welcoming environment

and also allow for the use of one or two bold accents if you crave color.

We are channeling the 20’s a little with this grouping when you take a look at the

lighting but mixing art deco with modern pieces like the slate round table creates a feast

for the eyes! All that being said, I’d have to say my favorite piece is the boot bin made

from reclaimed wood. This would be good in an entryway or mudroom and if you’re into

DIY you could even try to make one yourself!

What to Wear to the Beach this Summer

Summer is in full swing, and now that we are settling in to the HOT HOT HOT and lazy days of the season, we think it's well about time we offer you some relief. Beaches are where it's at these days, and while some of us love to let it all hang out and flaunt what we've got, some others just want to look cute, stylish, and summer appropriate while we soak up the rays. We have some outfits to assist with this dilemma, both for a day outside, as well as a summery look for the office on those days when you long for the beach. Enjoy!

With all the London Olympic Buzz lately, we decided to make this week's Style Icon Kate Middleton! We cant think of anyone who exhibits more class and glamour (and not to mention great taste in men!) than Duchess Kate! Enjoy this Issa/McQueen/Burberry British feast for the eyes!

Seersucker Love

Seersucker is the perfect casual fabric. Nothing says fun, preppy or classic summer than this striped wonder! Think how sweet and fun this wedding would be...possibly play yard games like horseshoes or croquet, throw a mid-afternoon reception with heavy appetizers and light drinks. Tom Collins would be a perfect signature drink, as would freshly squeezed lemonade, and maybe even a flavored iced tea bar where people could mix squeezed juices and teas and adorn them with sugared fruit slices in lime or orange! Freeze raspberries into ice cubes and cool down the day. This would be a wedding to remember!

Patterned Bridesmaids Dresses

Patterned Bridesmaids Dresses are all the rage right now! While it's nice to stick to the traditional for a lot of things when it comes to your big day, the Bridesmaid's Dresses are one place you can let loose and have fun with it! Besides, who wouldn't want a frilly floral frock like these? They are perfect for afternoon tea, a picnic date, a summer stroll...whatever! Think about how much dimension this would add to your wedding photos...perfect for a Spring or Summer wedding, we say!

Modern Day Kitchen

Even though I tend to go for traditional styles in my own home decor, I cant help but love a good modern piece which made this week's blog especially fun! Check out this modern kitchen board we created with a mustard yellow base and bold pops of blue as accents. POC (pop of color) is the phrase of the year for 2012 I think! I also love the use of stainless in elements like the kitchen table and the chandelier keeping it tied in with the counter tops but maintaining a sense of individuality. No matchy matchy for this kitchen!

One thing I want to point out about this kitchen is that the accessories totally make the space! I am definitely an accessory girl and they are not just for ears and wrists anymore people! From the yellow elephant pillow to that adorable Georgia print, accessories are the perfect way to bring your personality and some color into any room! Don't be afraid to be a little daring in your rooms and you'll love them even more.
